pequitobun Jewellery marries the old-fashioned loveliness and detail of vintage and antique jewelry with gemstones and other materials for a fresher, edgier take that is modern and wearable. Using the highest quality materials, including karat gold, 14K goldfill and gemstones, and carefully chosen vintage and antique pieces, each piece is individually handmade by the designer, and either one-of-a-kind or very limited edition. pequitobun Jewellery is proud to combine the ethos of recycling with the sustainability of quality durable materials, and seeks to create jewellery for every occasion, from a fun night out with the girls, to everyday signature pieces, to one-of-a-kind jewellery for those special occasions.

About the designer

Hi! I'm the designer of pequitobun Jewellery, Sherry. My label began in 2006, in my Boston apartment when I was a biology doctoral student in the suddenly strange land of Paul Revere and crimson sox. A bookworm with a love for fashion, in historical Boston, I developed a love for all things vintage - furnishings, clothing, and jewelry: quaint charms, lockets and brooches, rhinestone bracelets and enameled buttons. Seeking an escape from the occasional (ok, maybe more than occasional!) failed experiment, I started making jewellery with vintage things: little projects of art to wear and delight in. Happily, people liked and wanted to buy my designs, and so I started my jewellery line, naming the line after my cuddly lop-eared bunny pequito.

After graduating in 2009, I put out a few more collections, but in 2017, I closed the label as life got too busy after the birth of my second child. In March of 2020, Covid-19 hit, and, during shutdown, I found myself drawn to my jewellery pliers, and quiet nights making jewellery after the kids went to bed. So, in May 2020, I restarted pequitobun again, with a brand new website, but the same design sensibility and quality obsession. A big thank you to my longtime customers who have given me incredible support over the years, and new customers who have found my label and given me renewed confidence to keep designing.

Sadly, pequito has now passed on. He is missed.
